Our Home Coffee Bar

We added a home coffee bar to our recently renovated kitchen! We caffeinate heavily every morning and so a stocked and organized kitchen coffee station was a must!

It’s been a while since I first revealed our home coffee bar, and so today I’m sharing some updates that we’ve made to the space, including some new additions.

Shaun and I absolutely love our daily coffee fix. Truth be told, coffee has become the cornerstone of smooth mornings at home. Since March, Shaun and I have both been working from home and until recently, both kids have been home with us. It’s made for some very long days, and I can’t even tell you how happy I am that we planned this kitchen coffee bar when we remodeled our kitchen last year.

Shaun is usually up and working first, so he gets our coffee going. I used to make myself a Nespresso as I was running out the door to drop off the kids and catch the train, however, it’s really nice to have a pot of coffee these days. It feels comforting and with the addition of our new coffee grinder, we enjoy some really great coffee this way! We also have a French press that I keep in the cabinet and we will use that on weekends for some extra special brew.

I do still adore my Nespresso, though.

Another benefit of coffee at home - I get to use many mugs from my collection! I still keep these in the cabinet above the coffee bar and use an expandable 3-tier spice rack to store them, which has been working very well over the last year. This doesn’t hold all of my mugs, but I rotate these out with the rest of my collection (kept in my china cabinet).

My new favorite travel souvenir is to bring home local coffee. I brought 4 bags of beans home from our trip to Maine, and so we’ve been working our way through those.

It seriously brightens my day to enjoy coffee from our trip in one of my 3 new souvenir mugs.

I also added some coffee art. I found this print on Society 6 and I had to have it. It complements my kitchen and adds a little fun to an otherwise appliance-heavy space.

And finally, the coffee drawer! As I mentioned, I don’t use the Nespresso very much these days, so this space remains relatively unchanged, but my pods are still resting comfortably here, along with my stevia, tea and hot cocoa.

So there you have it. Our updated and functional home coffee bar that is probably one of my favorite spaces in my entire house.

What do you think? What would you add to this space?
