Lucky Charms Cereal Milk Latte

This Lucky Charms Cereal Milk Latte is the perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Lucky Charms marshmallows and cereal milk add the perfect combination of sweetness and nostalgia to kick off the morning.

You know I love trying fun coffees (like the Colorful Canvas Cold Brew from EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts) and while I typically stick to traditional grind and brew coffee at home, I was excited to try my hand at my own Lucky Charms latte.

This latte was very fun to make. I started by steeping Lucky Charms in cold milk for about an hour to get that infused cereal milk flavor. Then, I used my aerocino to froth the milk into a foamy latte. I topped it all off with some more Lucky Charms marshmallows and boom - a Lucky Charms latte that added a little brightness to the rough transition of daylight savings.

Oh and one of my favorite parts? You can make this with any sort of coffee base. Add your frothed Lucky Charms cereal milk to 2 shots of espresso for a latte. Add it to a cup of coffee for a Lucky Charms Americano. Add it to tea for a cereal milk tea latte? I haven’t tried it but maybe it would taste good? I make both coffee and espresso in my Nespresso Vertuo which has been my steadfast coffee companion for years.

Lucky Charms Cereal Milk Latte

Ingredients

• 1/2C Lucky Charms cereal
• 1/2C milk of your choice
• 2 shots espresso or 1 C brewed coffee
• 1/4C Lucky Charms marshmallows, set aside

Instructions

1. Pour the milk and Lucky Charms into a bowl and let it steep for 1 hour, stirring occasionally to ensure the cereal is really getting into the milk.
2. Remove cereal from the milk.
3. Using an aeroccino or milk frother, froth the cereal milk until it’s steamed and foamy.
4. Pour 2 shots of espresso into a mug.
5. Pour frothed Lucky Charms cereal milk over the espresso.
6. Dot with Lucky Charms marshmallows and enjoy!
7. Bonus tip: for extra flavor, add some of the marshmallows to the espresso before pouring the steamed milk over top
